Mechanical & enclosure design
Product architecture, CAD, enclosure packaging, materials, tolerance considerations, and design for assembly. We work through the interfaces between molded parts, metalwork, electronics, and the user.
Mechanical design, electronics, firmware, and the work that connects them. AsianOPS helps hardware teams develop, refine, and bring products into production with engineers and manufacturing resources on the ground in Asia.
Compact cooling-system development
Custom electronics, firmware, battery integration, and enclosure design.
Engineering scope
Engage us for a defined technical problem, a development phase, or a program from concept through manufacturing release.
Product architecture, CAD, enclosure packaging, materials, tolerance considerations, and design for assembly. We work through the interfaces between molded parts, metalwork, electronics, and the user.
Custom control electronics, embedded firmware, sensors, power management, batteries, and charging systems. Electrical and mechanical decisions are coordinated as one product.
Proof-of-concept builds, functional prototypes, tooling development, and assembly or test fixtures. We work directly with suppliers to resolve manufacturability issues before production.
Engineering and design validation, reliability and functional testing, pilot builds, and manufacturing release. We coordinate agency and safety testing as the product and target markets require.
Selected engineering work
Examples of our team's work across product development, technical integration, and manufacturing improvement.
System architecture / proof of concept
AsianOPS led proof-of-concept design and build work combining custom solar panels, a shade-tolerant array, MPPT charging, battery storage, and four USB charging ports in an outdoor table.
Solar, power electronics, battery, and mechanical integration.
Mechanical / electronics / firmware
Our team developed a miniaturized rechargeable cap-mounted cooling system with a custom PCB, firmware, USB-C charging, and an integrated battery. The design reduced the illustrated device dimension from 82.1 mm to 67.5 mm.
Product miniaturization with coordinated mechanical and electronic design.
DFM / tooling / production
AsianOPS led a product and injection-tooling redesign to improve quality, reliability, and manufacturability. The program included ten injection molds and manufacturing across eight product SKUs.
Design improvement carried through tooling and repeatable production.
How we work
We agree the scope, milestones, responsibilities, and deliverables around your product's current stage.
Clarify user needs, specifications, interfaces, target cost, and the development work already completed.
Resolve the architecture, develop the design, and build prototypes to test the important assumptions.
Evaluate function, reliability, and manufacturability. Close issues with engineering and supplier teams.
Coordinate tooling, fixtures, pilot builds, quality requirements, and the handoff to manufacturing.
A new product brief, a prototype that needs refinement, a difficult assembly, or an existing design that needs to scale. Tell us what is ready, what is uncertain, and the milestone you need to reach.
